GPU Gone, Again?

Well....sent my GPU off, just got a phone call saying they've recieved it and it's on testing and so far it's running FINE! I don't get it.....I couldn't even get past a loading screen!!

They're sending it off to the manufacturer, as the turn around time seems good....but I feel like maybe this is just my PC, and maybe not my GPU. I will have to nick mum and dads GPU downstairs, and slap it in my one.....I'll have to find my Vista CD (I lost it, I didn't tell him that! I just said "I didn't reformat" bwahaha)

I hope it's not my fault, I'd feel so bad :x

Although I don't think I understand. Do I need to install a driver before I put my ATI card from downstairs into my beast upstairs? Considering it was NVIDIA, and nvidia drivers are installed.

Also how would that prove if my GPU is faulty? The nice man on the phone asked if I had a spare card.....I think I got lost somewhere lol! xD

You can insert the ATI card and it will give you a display, then remove the nvidia drivers and install the ATI drivers.

If the ATI card works and the Nvid one doesnt, it must be the GPU + your machine = fault.

It did my friend it did :)

I'm actually pretty glad lol. Was waiting for it to go PEWPEWPEW and show green and pink pixelation again, but it didn't!!! Good news for me :) as I'd have hated to sent this off to these guys and end up causing them trouble over it for no reason. Pc specialist are actually really good, great support! :)

*edit* as in it did show a display :p
