PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Computer for 12 year old

Hi all, You really helped me when buying 2 computers previously so thank you in advance. My daughters current PC (cheep all in one pc bought for online lessons at the start of Covid) has died and I dont think its worth saving. My budget is only about £750 but so far this is the cheepest I can...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Looking for a good gaming pc

I which case maybe go for the 12400 or the 5600G (better graphics than the intel) and use integrated graphics until the 3060 comes down in price. (I suspect it will be more than a couple of weeks as there always seems to be a lag in prices dropping after new cards are released.)

My understanding is the 6gb 2060 is on par or slightly better than the 3050 and its cheaper. The 3060 is about £100 more expensive.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Budget spec pc with ryzen 5600X around £1000(want it less <3 - have a looksie tell me whatchu think)

The PC you have specified above has an ok CPU and GPU but has cut corners virtually everywhere else and I would really not recommend it. This would be the cheapest I could recommend. My understanding is that the 6gb 2060 is better than the 3050 and its cheaper at the moment. Case FRACTAL FOCUS...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Looking for a good gaming pc

I can't get a balanced PC that makes sense in your budget with the monitor and keyboard included. You say your old pc died. If that is the case can you transfer your window license from that? It doesn't matter what version of windows you had on it you would be able to use the licence (which is...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Two graphics cards for two monitors?

A bit of information about your spec. The CPU you have selected is 10th series which is very out of date (now on 12 series) 32GB RAM is probably overkill and the money could definitely be better spent within your budget. 450W PSU is insufficient for you existing spec let alone any future...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST How hot is too hot?

Have you downloaded HWMonitor? Its impossible to know from temps taken outside the case. Run an intensive game or even better a bench marking software like 3DMark. After a few min take a snapshot from HWMonitor and paste it on this thread and people will be able to tell you if your ok.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Plain question- Is this good...?

Please don't buy this computer without looking for further advice, it is not a balanced build and is likely to be thermally throttled by the case / cooler with that GPU. What programs (and any games) will you be using it for? What is your budget? What monitor will you be using?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Check my spec please!

I don't disagree that the 3060 would be good for video editing (I shouldnt have said wasted, I meant it was wasting too much of the budget) but you show me how to get it into a computer for ~£1000 without making so many compromises you would be better without the gpu. My brother uses the 6600...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Check my spec please!

If you are not gaming on it the 3060 gpu would be wasted in my opinion (integrated graphics would let you get a better computer within your budget). If your never going to game on it the first spec below would be my suggestion. If you think you might use it for gaming in the future then I would...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New PC but very slow Wi-fi

Mine was like that but I found keeping the antennae parallel to each other turning the desktop slightly and pointing them slightly towards the signal doubled the speed. Might be worth having a play. (I get 30mb on my phone when placed on the computer desk and 20mb from the PC but it was only...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Is this a good budget PC?

Drop the Thermal paste as the stuff it comes with is good. Spend the money you save on the silver warranty. It would also be better to switch the size of you M2 to 500gb and add a second 1-2tb drive for your games and files (this can be a cheaper one. This will be a very strong 1080p setup. In...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a build, budget 1500£

This would be my suggestion within that budget. Saving a bit on the motherboard to improve the case airflow, the PSU (this upgrade is essential) and faster ram for gaming. Case LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ i5 10-Core Processor i5-12600KF (3.7GHz) 20MB Cache...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Can someone check this build and give some recommendation?

The 3070 Ti is wasted on a 1440p monitor. Go for the 3060 Ti and if you have any money left get a Corsair liquid cooler. I have the 12400F, 3060 Ti and Frostflow 200 in a worse case (Fractal Focus G) and have no issues with cooling so it is optional. My current monitor is 1440p but capped at...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST TIPS ON MY BUILD? :D

The processor you have selected is the last generation and was not generally recommended. What monitor are you using? What is you budget? What monitor are you using? PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST £1500 pound gaming pc

I believe this will give you better performance and more ability to upgrade for only £30 extra. I will put comments next to items below This system would give good results with a 1080p monitor at 144 / 165Hz You would need to spend a bit more on the GPU if you are going to use a 1440p monitor...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New (Gaming) Office PC

Just an update for you all. He decided he couldn't wait for one to be built so ended up going for an off the shelf one HP Omen 30L (delete if I'm not allowed to post that bit) I'm sure it wont be as good as the one's you speced (looking at it I suspect it doesn't have the best airflow) but I'm...
