Where is my CMOS batter?

I have a PC Specialist desktop PC. It keeps booting to BIOS, so I'm fairly sure that the CMOS battery needs replacing. Fine. Except that I can't find it. I see where the battery should be in the motherboard manual (WS Z390) but that doesn't match what I see when I open the PC case.

A diagram in the manual shows the battery on the lower right-hand side of the motherboard. But mine looks quite different in that area. There is a silver square, with Asus written on it in the general area, that doesn't match the diagram in the manual. Maybe that is covering the battery. I'm reluctant to mess with it unless I can get some advice.

Cheers

Orders page? Not sure what that is. But details are:
Instructions for finding & posting you full spec...

But if you're talking about an Asus motherboard, then there is usually a plastic/metal cover over the m.2 drives and the battery - and at minimum you need to remove a couple of screws...at worst the GPU is in the way and you have to loosen/remove that too.

Thank you Tony Carter,

Here are the relevant sections of my order:
Case Processor (CPU) Motherboard Memory (RAM) Graphics Card 1st Storage Drive 2nd Storage Drive DVD/BLU-RAY Drive Power Supply Power Cable Processor Cooling Thermal Paste Sound Card Wireless Network Card USB/Thunderbolt Options Operating System Operating System Language Windows Recovery Media PCS P209 RGB MID TOWER CASE Intel® Core™ i7 Eight Core Processor i7-9700K (3.6GHz) 12MB Cache ASUS® WS Z390 PRO: ATX, LGA1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 16GB

I think you are right that I need to move the GPU or whatever the silver box is. Not sure if I want to do that. I'm a bit of a fumble fingers, quite likely to drop it or drop a screwdriver on the motherboard. Call me a coward :) but I think I will see what the local PC repair shop charges to change the battery.

Here's a picture of your motherboard. The CMOS battery is, according to the manual, to the right of the bottom M.2 slot and above and to the right of the USB 2.0 header. I think this means it will actually be under the M.2 heatsink, which is the long black piece below and to the left of the silver rectangle that says Asus on it. (The silver rectangle is actually the heatsink for the motherboard chipset.)

To replace the CMOS battery, you'll need to remove the graphics card, then remove the bottom M.2 heatsink (this should be pretty easy with a Phillips head screwdriver) and that should reveal the battery. Whether this will solve the rebooting problem, I haven't the foggiest idea, but that's where it is.

Thanks sck451. I managed to remove the heatsink (despite a very sticky screw) and found the battery. New battery is now in and all working fine.

Many thanks to all who replied.
