Hi all, love my new pc but have a feeling it needs to go back . Issue started when playing the new forza game , the pc will just reboot after certain times , but not any other games which i found strange. I did look at event and it was code 41 kernal power i believe . From what i have read could be a psu error .
Have contacted pcs and they asked me to remove gpu drivers using a certain program think it was duu or ddu , followed all there instructions, reinstalled drivers.
Played game, still reboots , its like you turn off and on the power and system restarts .
Checked all the other things like temps just in case , no issues there .Screen just goes black during gameplay with a few graphic artifacts on screen, then a total system reboot .
They did say it could be a psu issue but wanted me to do drivers first, so replied and waiting for a response from them .

Seems strange that it just seems this one game that this error shows in , but it really does seem its a power supply type of issue i think from research . an

That's not a cause, that's just the code when it reboots unexpectedly. Returning is more for a hardware issue, but there's troubleshooting you can do before that which may well fix it.

It's highly likely to be a software issue rather than hardware, if you can post your logs and dumps as below:

The BSOD Doctor
As above, the Error 41 is a symptom not a cause, it only tells you that Windows did not shut down properly. It has nothing at all to do with your power supply. It's only called Kernel Power because the Windows kernel is reporting that the power disappeared unexpectedly (because Windows didn't shutdown properly).

Windows will restart when a 'system failure' occurs so this is almost certainly a software issue - and most likely a driver issue. There may be a kernel memory dump in the file C:\Windows\Memory.dmp but check the date and time to be sure it's related to a restart you've had. If you have one upload it to the cloud with a link to it here.

There may also be one or more minidumps in the C:\Windows\Winidumps folder, again check the date and time to be sure they're relevant. Upload any that are relevant to the cloud with a link to them here.

There may also be one or more minidumps in the C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports folder, again check the date and time to be sure they're relevant. Upload any that are relevant to the cloud with a link to them here.

Also export and upload (to here) your System and Application logs as described here https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/when-youre-seeking-help-with-a-bsod.71885/#post-568901

Thanks for the info and help all, i called pcs today and had a good chat and they did the remote access, and found that there was a fatal error logged for the cpu , they run prime 95 and could not see anything from that, just the error log, so they collecting the pc on Tuesday .

I did explain that it was only one game , but they really wanted to take it away due to the fatal hardware error warning pointing towards the cpu . Happy with the tech support , and i know whatever the issue is it will be all good once they get to look at it

Yeah, that tends to be hardware related, although can often be fixed with a chipset update.
yer thats what they said, I am not very good with all this, but to me if every other game was fine and just this one game causes this, then i would put that down to the game, i know it can not really be a game but it just makes sense to me if i think about it :)

It can easily be a game.

All games install a load of platforms like Visual C++ and DirectX and various other things, also anti cheat systems are renowned for causing crashes on unsupported drivers.

This is why it's so important to have a clean system from the off as all sorts of problems can result if something is out of balance, and troubleshooting a BSOD is far harder than making sure it's a clean platform.
