Hi,
my new pc from PC Specialist arrived today..
When I moved the box I heard a rumor inside.. the rumor came from the case...
I opened it and I found the secondary HD wasn't fixed with screws to the case.. ofc during the travel it hitted around until the cable was broken..

How is possible send a PC to 2200 km distance without put a couple of stupid screws or without think on it?

I would feed this back to PC Specialist via email. It may have been an oversight or a mistake made by someone with less experience on their team but they should definitely know about it to prevent issues like this happening again in future.

Is there a spare connection available on the SATA cabling for you to be able to get it up and running and check that the drive is functioning?

Ty for the fast reply!
Yes, it's important to share this info to PC Specialist..
Do an hard and great work and destroy it by a so stupid problem it's sad..

The little piece of plastic come from the HD not from the cable, I don't know if you can see well from the picture, but It's the piece of plastic that support metal fins.. so i cannot test HD.
Now I've disconnected it, and I try to test the pc to check if there are other problems..

Not all cases use screws to hold drives, mine doesn't for example.

That shouldn't have happened of course, contact PCS, show them the photo and ask them to ship another HDD to you - you'll likely have to return that one at the same time.

Ty for reply, I checked my case, I got a lian li lancool 215, and under the filter there are the holes to block the HD to the case, where u can fix It with 2 screws to prevent any move..

The PC Is awesome.. if I didn't have this stupid problem I was flying over the sky...

Hopefully you will be able to contact PCS and they will promptly send you out a new HDD arranging a quick swap over (you send the old one back in the same packaging as the new one you get).

You can then hopefully put it in yourself and carry on

Hi, I bought a PC from PCS, when it arrived I saw there was an issue with the third HD 1T Barracuda.

It was broken because it wasn't fixed on the case with a couple of screws... I did an RMA and today the new HD is here...

But a new problem occurred... if I insert it on the same cable of the old HD, the PC doesn't start... Bios doesn't start too...

I thought there was a problem with the cables... maybe they were broken too... I changed both but I have the same issue... When the third HD inserts, the PC doesn't start...

Any help? I hope you understand my explanation...
Thx in advance!

Have you tried it in a different SATA Power connector?
yes, I changed both cables too, data and power...
I have tried sata_1 port and sata_3 port on MB...

Actually, I'm thinking about this... I read around that it must be plugged on the theoric free Sata port on MB... is it right?
Reading on BIOS I got m.2 on 2nd and on 3th m.2 slots... why not on m.2_1 and m.2_2? o_O

Did they set both m.2 on PCIe 3.0? why not the main on PCIe 4.0?

If I move:
the 256 Gb m.2 (with windows) from slot m.2_3 to slot m.2_1 and
the 1t m.2 (storage) from m.2_3 to m.2_2

will I lose the warranty from PCS?

No (though you wouldn't be covered for any damge you cause), but I don't know why you'd want to. Slot 1 is PCIe 4.0 and 2&3 are PCIe 3.0, but you only have PCIe 3.0 SSDs, so it doesn't make a (significant) difference which slots they're in. (That is to say, it might make a measurable difference, but it won't make a perceptible one.)
