So here's what I've come up with. A bit over my intended budget, but it's still within my max, including a monitor :D
What do you think? Anything glaringly out of place?

I haven't included a graphics card in this build, I want to put an Nvidia 4060 or 70, or AMD equivalent in, once they come on stream sometime early next year. In the meantime, I'll get a 2070 Super from that well known auction site, to tide me over. However, if the overwhelming advice is not to bother with a 4060 or 70, get a 3070(ti?), or whatever instead, I can do that.
I've also included the Corsair hydro cooling option. I don't know if I'll actually need it, but it seems sensible at the 95 degree core temps? So I'd appreciate your advise on that in particular.
I'll be giving my present computer to my daughters family, as a complete up and running system, so including Win 10 and my monitor.
That also means a new monitor for me. I've mentioned it a few times, but I'm thinking the Gigabyte M34WQ-EK is the one for me :D
And I've even got RGB - RAM in there 😂

Your link is showing a slightly different config to what you've posted (your link shows 2 x m.2 SSDs 1 x SATA SSD, 1 x HDD).

The Corsair AIOs don't need the Arctic paste, as they come pre-applied with their own.

I'd also recommend going for the Capellix or Elite version of that AIO, as the 100x has the older/noisier pump/fans.

Don't forget to upgrade the warranty for £5 to the 1 year Collect & Return option.

That's odd, about the different config'. I'll check and sort that now.
And do the update on AIO.
I forgot all about the Warranty, for a WHOLE £5, it's gotta be worth it 😮
I put the support bracket in, so I'd have it if the 4070, or whichever I get in the future, needs it. I don't know if it would.
I won't be getting a 4080 or 90, they're way OTT for my needs, there's a good chance a 4060/70 is as well. But then game dev's are going to be developing games that'll use whatever is available to be used, as will other software developers.

So, about my spec.
Tony sorted out the gaffs I made, but are there any other suggestions I could consider?
A custom computer is a personal thing, everyone wants something a bit different to the next person, to suit their own needs.
So some other suggestions would be most welcome, or even possibly "that looks ok to me", or whatever :)
For eg, I've plumped for the 7700X, it's probably a bit more cpu than I need right now. But this will probably (although not definitely) be the last computer I buy, it's going to have to be good for 10 years. So I went for the slightly bigger cpu. Is that a sensible idea? I could upgrade parts as things progress, ram, cpu, gpu, but don't intend to start from scratch again. Never say never, obviously :)

I intend to confirm this order tomorrow morning sometime. Depending mostly on how long I can restrain myself :LOL:
Waiting a couple of months to reach this point has been testing enough. I usually decide to spend the money, do a little research over a couple of weeks maybe, then do it. This time my "little research" told me "WAIT", so I've waited. The waiting is over

It looks really good to me actually, think @TonyCarter has hit the nail on the head generally.

If it were me, I would personally go for a more robust case. I always go totally over the top with anything to do with cooling, including the case, but it's stood me in good stead over the years and **touch wood** not had a component failure other than a Western Digital Green HDD that I'd rescued from my parents system and used for back up data, it developed some bad blocks and had to be retired, but WD Green drives were always considered pretty poor from a reliability perspective, and I would never have bought it off my own choice.

But I'm still running HDD's from the early 2000's in my system, and still using 1st gen SATA SSD's with Sandforce controllers.

I'm a huge believer that thermals from case, CPU cooler and indirectly the PSU (as to weather it's modular or not) massively help a builds stability and longevity.

So if it were me, I would go for a premium case, and probably something from Lian Li (just my personal all out favorite case manufacturer).

I'm really getting close to my intended budget limit, because there's still the monitor and graphics card.
But a solid case is also important, as it's all got to last quite some time.
I chose that case as it was recommended, for good air flow, in my original build a couple of months ago. But I was also thinking of a smaller budget then, which this case suited. As cooling is important, and a good airflow case is a good airflow case, I stayed with it. But the Lian Li Lancool II still just about fits in my budget. I'm not going to be fussy about £10 or £20 over. A couple of hundred yes, but not pocket money.

Apologies, the Lancool 2 is a great case, but it's around the same budget as the 4000D

I was suggesting something more like the O11 Dynamic or something

Between the Lancool 2 and the 4000D, I think the 4000D is actually a stronger case.

Ah, OK.
I had a look in the configuration tool, there appears to be only the two Lian Li cases.
So I looked in eBuyer, ouch! Looked on Amazon, better, but still £50 to almost £500 extra. That's stretching my budget too far, just now.
If I was back at work and earning, then probably. But on that front, I'm still waiting to hear from the DVLA. There may be a medical with a DVLA nominated Dr, they may take my doctors word, I don't know. I'm stuck in limbo, waiting.

So I'll bear it in mind for the future. But for now I'll stick with the 4000D.
And I'm now going to go and click that Buy button 😁

4000d is still a great case, don't get me wrong. I'm just a weirdo when it comes to cases :)

Some good news. I ordered the new monitor yesterday. Delivery date was projected as Wednesday next week.
I got an email from them saying it'll be tomorrow afternoon 😮 :LOL:

Gigabyte M34WQ-EK, in house, ready for when the new Thing arrives.
And the pre-loved, new to me :D , EVGA Nvidia 2070 Super should arrive Monday or Tuesday, also ready for the arrival of the new Thing.

This is quite a momentous occasion for me. I've never spent this kind of money on a computer before.
I think it deserves a name.

Any suggestions?

It cannot be The Berserker obviously, cos @Martinr36 has already, quite rightly, claimed that.
The Beast, or The Thing are a bit Meh, too obvious. Trouble is, I don't have an 'original' bone in me.
I can see alternatives, once the original thought is planted, but I need the nudge to get me moving in the right direction.
So what do ya think? Anything that might suit?
