Sudden Power Loss

Hi All,

My PC has suddenly started to experience some abrupt power loss. This happened first some time last week, and as a one off - didn't think too much of it - but last night occurred 5-6 times, before leaving it for the night.

The first time, the PC was unresponsive even when trying to power back on via the front IO. It wasn't until I turned off/on via the PSU switch and tried the IO again that things sprung back to life. Since then however... I have not had to do this again and the IO has power cycled correctly.

I don't believe this is a temp issue. Whilst this first occurred in game (I didn't have a temp reading then). The subsequent times last night have occurred both in and out of games, within the first 5/10 minutes of booting. The PC seems to boot fine and without issue. It does make a beep but it always has - suspect this is just a successful POST noise. Where I have been able to test temps, I could see my CPU idling at 33/34c and GPU at 44c. I have had a visual check and PC seems fine when it is running, although I haven't found myself catching the moment it dies.

To my (admittedly hardware inexperienced) mind this sounds like a PSU issue. Make certain that all power connectors are fully home in the PSU, and on their other ends too. Also make sure the kettle lead is good and fully plugged in.
