My build was as follows :

Processed Date 23-04-2011
Pre-Production Date 03-05-2011
Build Date 09-05-2011
Test Date 13-05-2011
QC Date 17-05-2011
Awaiting Dispatch Date 18-05-2011
Dispatch Date 20-05-2011

AND

Processed Date 24-04-2011
Pre-Production Date 03-05-2011
Build Date 09-05-2011
Test Date 13-05-2011
QC Date 13-05-2011
Awaiting Dispatch Date 17-05-2011
Dispatch Date 20-05-2011

Which was well over the approx 11-13 days, was I disappointed...a little I guess BUT I remained positive about the situation and figured that I would rather have something that was build properly with care and maybe take a little longer than expected than a product that was rushed through and didn't meet my expectations.

In the end I got 2 excellent units, that were very obviously built with great care and attention to detail, so in the end, the wait was way more than satisfactory.

I know it's annoying etc, but hang in there, the wait will be worth it in the end :)

@Gorman: ..... Mr Admin ... Well done perfect customer satisfaction orientated response. Typical of a non-customer caring attitude. I have just paid 2K pounds, so have a right to ask the question as naturally am disappointed.

@Rich: Thanks for the "correct" way of dealing with my observation and of course your feedback. And of course agree 100% with your comments - definitely want a well-tested and prep'd machine, exactly the reason I went with PC Specialist - read good things about the quality of their machines.

But also read some nightmares on the forums - so am hoping my machine is not one of them!!

We'll see.

You've come in with a very negative attitude, just because you've paid 2k doesn't give you the right to be an arse. Why couldn't you have just asked your question normally instead of posting a snotty message.
As for Gorman's reply, it was polite and professional, what's the problem? To state he doesn't care is ridiculous, you only have to be on these forums for 10 minutes to realise thats obviously not the case.

We have also had a bank holiday so take one day out from there. So I am only counting 10 working days (take away weekends and the bank holiday) from the 22/05/2011-06/06/2011. It is 11-13 WORKING DAYS. And consider yourself lucky, you could buy a brand new car for and have to wait months for delivery. Someone at my work bought a £30k Audi A3 and had to wait nearly 2 months. I'd prefer a machine that is built properly rather than one rushed.

Typical of a non-customer caring attitude.

A happened across your post in the moderation queue as i logged in at 10.45pm on a Sunday to check private messages etc, so would be inclined to disagree with you on that particular point.

I have just paid 2K pounds, so have a right to ask the question as naturally am disappointed.

Absolutely you do, but i didnt see a question and would have been happy to try and answer any question posed.

The original post was a tad negative, all i am / was trying to do is explain the situation clearly. There are many threads on this forum dealing with lead times etc.

Mr Gorman was speaking the truth they are estimates. I recieved mine within 13 days as the build took about 10 days. And don't you realize how rude you really are, it's disgusting. Gorman always helps out customers, he's helped me out and a lot of others. So think before you type next time.

@Gorman: maybe we should BOTH stop working on a Sunday evening: I was doing the same  and as such probably not doing ourselves any favours in wording our responses :turned: Your response is appreciated. (including your additional response)

@JSG10: negative attitude is caused by expectations not being met. Whether you pay 500 or 5000 - good service is not optional its a right. Arsy or not.

@Petrow: thank goodness I am not buying a car anytime soon then ;-) I hope your Audi was built properly :winkiss:

@Theunderdog: You totally missed the point - nice of you to defend Gorman though. Its not about friendship - its about business.

@everyone: Everyone wants to get worked up about the way I worded my post. Lets be clear here guys, the fundamental problem with good Service in the UK is that it is hard to find! As a result everybody sits back and is complacent about the level of service they receive. Then when someone says something - they are being arsy...... in ANY situation.

Response to service needs to demonstrate a willingness to keep the customer happy. Its our hard earned cash that is being swallowed by companies.

Its got nothing to do with being rude or arsy - whther you have sepent 500 or 5000 on your PC everyone is entitled to good service. It goes about communication. All I want to be is informed about progress. If someone says ....hey your PC is still in Pre Production because the OCZ drive has not arrived then fine - happy to accept that.

So read this post in whatever way you choose - bottom line is Customer Satisfaction relating to ALL steps in the process would be most appreciated.
