Spec for gaming laptop. Ryzen vs Intel

Hello.

I recently placed an order for a gaming laptop. I was advised to go for a laptop with Ryzen but in the Vyper series (which I felt was the right laptop for me) there was no option for Ryzen processors. In fact, I don't think there was any option at all other than the i7. So I went for that one. I've attached the full spec for the laptop. What kind of gaming do you think this laptop would not be able to do? Thanks.

EDIT: One more thing: I was told that the difference between RTX 2070 and 2070 Super was marginal and was not worth the additional cost unless you're a hardcore gamer. I'm not really a gamer so I figured the simple 2070 would be the right choice. Do you agree, and how big do you guys think the difference is between the standard 2070 and the 2070 Super?

I have exactly the same laptop - apart from the SSD (mine has jut 1 TB Samsung Evo). Works very very well and is super fast... Why do you need 32gb of ram ? I have 16 and i ever used more than 10.
I would go for 2 Samsung SSDs instead of the Evo and Intel one.

Thank you for the responses, first of all.

I need to work with 1 virtual machine (Ubuntu), and my current system consistently uses over 12 GB of RAM. So I opted for 32 GB of RAM, though I'm starting to suspect that an extra 16 GB just for a virtual machine might've been overkill.

Based on what both of you have said, it seems swapping the 2TB Intel Drive with a 1 TB drive (Either Samsung or PCS) would be a good idea. I'll do that.

One question: If I change my order now, would that cause any extra delays to my order?

1 quick question: I'm trying to go for a 1 TB SSD. It's either between Intel or PCS. I'm not opting for a Samsung one because it costs over 100 more.
Which one should I go for, Intel or PCS? Specs wise Intel seems better. What do you think?

There's not a huge amount of difference between them as they are both quick...the PCS one has slightly better read speeds, Intel better write speeds. Given the £10 price difference I'd probably go the intel for the faster write speeds. tbh in normal use, the difference wouldn't really be noticed much anyway...M2 drives are really quick whichever one you get
The Intel has a short write indurance (IOPS) and is generally best avoided.

From experience i know that samsumg evo is better than intel and PCS. My girlfriend has a PSC drive and i have a samsumg - we did some tests and mine is way faster on benchmarks, but yeah there is a price difference.

If you can afford it, and still have the option, I would go for the highest GPU you can afford.

The reason being you want to over-spec a laptop in the GPU department as whatever you get..... you're stuck with. The GPU is going to be the first thing to fall off the spec sheet, so it's best to try and cling on with as much spec as you can or the laptop becomes redundant earlier than it potentially would.

Laptops are the exception in the GPU world.
