Hello,
Every time I boot my laptop, or wake it from sleep/hibernate, the screen brightness drops to 0%. It will display the previously saved brightness for approximately 1-2 seconds, before suddenly going to the minimum brightness. This is very frustrating, especially when I'm using the laptop at night as the screen goes so dark I can't see my keyboard to increase the brightness again (the backlit keyboard is always switched off when the laptop wakes/boots, I have to manually switch it on every time. I don't know if this is normal either).
There is no adaptive/auto light adjustment in windows settings - I don't believe this laptop has that feature. The screen will revert to zero regardless of the lighting in my environment. I installed all provided drivers when I received the laptop.
I have tried to search for an answer on Google but this doesn't appear to be a common problem as I cannot find anyone with a similar issue. I thought maybe it's an issue with PC Specialist/ TongFang builds perhaps. I've already RMA'd this laptop once for severe CPU and GPU performance issues (motherboard was replaced). I really hope I don't have a dud.
Cheers!
Chris
