Potential gaming and easy video editing PC

My beloved PC Specialist desktop from 6 years ago has finally bitten the dust and I need to get a new one ASAP! I still game, but not as much but I have a younger son who is rapidly growing up and is probably about to game a lot more than me :) I mainly use it now for some massive spreadsheet work and video editing using Filmora 9 for the school I work at producing videos. I don’t tend to upgrade my PC’s when I have bought them, just hammer them in to the ground as this PC is used by my wife to work from home two days a week, my son to play games on after school and me to work/game on when I get home.

  1. - Firstly, I’m a damn hippy and I try and re-use / recycle where I can, can I simply send my old case back in to reuse with the spec I have posted below? It’s a FRACTAL DEFINE R4 BLACK PEARL QUIET MID-TOWER CASE I seem to think it’s a decent case or would there be a problem with this?
  2. - Both the hard drives were replaced in my old PC at the start of the year ( 1 large SSD and a separate Hard Drive) and I have a copy of Windows 10 which I am happy to re-install, can I ask for a PC without any hard drives for me to install myself or is that not possible?
  3. - I am so out of date looking at processors and GPU’s, With the spec I have gone for below, will that tie in with what I want to do? I’ve never bought AMD before and am slightly nervous but the post at the top of this forum says otherwise!
Any guidance or feedback would be hugely appreciated!

For my last contribution of the night I went for the oldest unanswered post which caught my eye, and that was yours as you also do video editing as do I, so I have some common ground.

I prefer installing my own Windows 10 Pro (which I will likely transfer the license from an old system I'm not using if possible) however one thing my gut is telling me is that if you remove all the hard drives from the configurator you might will see this error:

"Unfortunately you cannot place an order without a hard disk drive or SSD drive. Please select at least one hard disk drive, M.2 SSD drive or PCI-E SSD drive before proceeding."

I think one of the many reasons why you'll need a hard drive in there during the build is because they test each system after it's built by putting a trial version of Windows (or such like) or some kind of OS on there so the system can be tested and proven to be working before it's shipped.

I really think your system will breeze through video editing to be honest, but as a dislaimer I'm not expert and not very experienced. I just spend way too long researching things, asking questions and like helping others :)

yes you need to order wth a hard drive so if you are going to put your drives from the existing machine in I'd take the barracuda out of your spec and replace it with a 512GB PCS m.2 to put your OS and programs on
