HI,
I'm getting 'no media present on startup' message and then goes to BIOS.
It's about a year old, 1tb ssd with 3080 gpu.

Is the ssd broken? Do I need to get a new one and windows 11?

Thanks

Is this a pcspecialist system? Could you post your full specs from the order page?

First thing you need to do is register it with PCS as that will activate your warranty.

It's likely a dud primary drive, should get replaced under warranty.

Hi!
The "No media present on startup" error message typically indicates that the computer is unable to detect the boot device, which could be due to a few reasons such as incorrect boot order in BIOS, disconnected or damaged boot drive, or a corrupted boot partition.

So, to diagnose the issue, you can try the following steps:

Check the SATA cable and ensure it's securely connected to the motherboard and the SSD.
Check the boot order in BIOS and make sure the SSD is set as the primary boot device.
Run disk diagnostic tools, such as the built-in "chkdsk" command, to check if the SSD is damaged or has any bad sectors.

If the SSD is damaged or has failed, you will need to replace it and reinstall the operating system, including Windows 11 if desired.
