New PC shut down advice!

Morning all,


I have just received my new PC Specialist Desktop which is brilliant!

My old desktop was so bad I had to leave it on sleep every night otherwise it would struggle to boot and take so long the next day.

Should I shut down the new one every single night or leave it on sleep and only shut it down a few times a week? Start up only takes seconds now with this Samsung Evo M.2 SSD!

Unless you're using a lot of apps/windows that you like to leave open betweens sessions, it's probably better to shut it down. Must be great to move to a desktop that's so fast to boot up.

Unless you have something like a server application running that needs to be on at all times, it's always worth doing a full shutdown when you're finished using the PC.

It feels great. My old Desktop was 11 years old and I got it Brand New at the time it was a decent spec. It was struggling as no updates were around. I got an i7 XPS Dell Laptop about 5 year old which is still pretty impressive but I prefer a nice desktop PC!
