Hello guys.

I currently have a i5 and a amd r700 card.

I'm looking at upgrading my cpu and graphics card along with my motherboard this christmas. since i bought the PC 2 years ago and it has got signifcantly slower now, running games on more than half the fps and the computer being really slow, and two of my ram slots breaking randomly.

I have a budget of around 500£

if i was to buy myself a i7 and a motherboard bundle for 350£ and then a GTX 960 for 150£.

Or should i purchase a GTX 970 for 250£?

Not too sure how to fix my problem of a slow and bad pc, because when i first got it damn it was lightning.

Any ideas or suggestinons for me i would like to run 3 monitors which i currenlty but cannot due to the AMD active adaptor problems.

Thank you

Choose of gpu would depend on your psu and how old your i5 is. If it is a sandybridge CPU I wouldn't bother changing it

If you can list your current specs it would help.

Often, slow downs can be software related, a good clean out/reinstall of windows will help enormously in most cases, often down to viruses
