Looking at getting ULTIMA X01

Hi guys. I am thinking of getting the ULTIMA X01 in the review section as I have been looking at a desktop build since the space is not an issue anymore. I am not a big fan of the case but this is not the most important aspect to be honest. The purpose of the build is to replace my Defiance II laptop for gaming and some work related tasks, nothing too extreme but hoping to play most of the titles at high settings. I know that the GTX1080 is a very potent card but at some point there may be the temptation of adding a second one to the build so my questions is, will the PSU be enough to power 2xGTX 1080's plus a possible overclocked i7-8700k? Also, is the motherboard and the case decent enough for overclocking?
The budget is somewhere around 1400-1500 so this would fit right in.
Thank you guys and I appreciate your feedback.

There is headroom from a PSU point of view to have a second graphics card but the motherboard might need to be changed for 2x 1080s as it only supports AMD crossfire.

Why would you want a 2nd one? Will you be gaming at 4k resolution?

The motherboard wouldn't support SLI, but SLI is often not the best answer anyway.

Also, is the motherboard and the case decent enough for overclocking?
Yes, it also has an H100i cooler, which is excellent.

Thank you guys. I am not thinking at Sli for the time being but maybe in 2-3 years when the performance may require it. I know that the easy thing would be to just update the gpu but just wanted to know if Sli was an option. I am still trying to find out what gpu PC specialist uses in the build. Been on live chat this morning and all I got is that it will probably be a palit but no model name.

They tend to use Palit (as you've found out) or Zotac - with possibly a few choices of models, but they never guarantee a specific model since it can change, you will get whichever one they have in stock at the time of your build - this is also why they can't normally specify because they could only make an educated guess at when your PC will go into building and what they'll have in stock at the time.

Yeah, I assumed it won't always be the same one because of the price variation of their suppliers but the person I spoke with needed about 30 minutes to come back with palit and another 10 until I lost my patience and closed the chat before finding out the model. I can appreciate the models change and I can accept that but when the customer advisor needs 30 minutes to come up with a brand, the whole experience becomes a bit of a let down. I am a returning customer having purchased a Defiance II laptop a while ago which serves me well to this day but the lack of information is discouraging.

I called this evening and managed to get through to someone very helpful this time which confirmed the make and model of the 1080 they currently have in stock. Placing order tonight I think. One more question, not related to the build, for some reason I cannot get on the pcspecialist forums while connected to my wifi. I can only access the site while on mobile data. This seems very strange to me as the main site is accessible. Did anyone else encounter this?

Are you on your home Wifi? When connected to my Wifi at work, I cannot access forums on my phone, only on data. It is fine at home.

Yeah, I am at home. It was working fine last night while on the network at work. Initially I thought it may be the site but it's working fine while on my mobile network.

Yeah..I am on BT. Is there an explanation for it or just one of those weird facts?

BT’s DNS servers are rubbish and block a lot of normal sites, plus there’s very high downtime for them. If you change to Google’s DNS you’ll see it pops up straight away.
