icue 465x with Corsair h100i RGB PRO XT cooler

Hi all,

I am looking to include the h100i pro into my build. Just wondered if someone knew off hand if this can be mounted in the top of the icue 465x case. I am also looking to include the ASUS Maximus XII Hero, sp fear that there may not be enough clearance for the h100i and the RAM. My brief research into this mainly via YouTube vids has not really confirmed either way as most mount radiators at the front of the case, which I guess I may have to settle for, although some have alluded to there being enough space for the rad to be mounted at the top.

I am also looking at purchasing a set of the LL120 fans (one for rear exhaust & the other 2 to replace the ML120 stock cooler fans) at a later date so hopefully this can also be done?? - this also hinges on the rad being able to be mounted to the top of the case.

Any support will be much appreciated

We wouldn't typically recommend the selection of components you have chosen to be honest. You could do a bit better for the cash and a lot better with AMD at this moment.

I believe the cooler would be roof mounted though. This is something that you could request for your order.

Replacing ML fans with LL equivalents is a very strange move IMO. The ML fans are superior.

I believe that the taller RGB RAM would prevent top mounting of the radiator in the 465X, there wouldn’t be enough clearance. Standard RAM should fit.

But regardless, I’m in agreement with @Scott on this one, build could be improved 🙂👍

does this look any better? or am I really showing my lack of understanding with all this? I have had a look through the guides which are really comprehensive, but just feel a little out of my league - also swapped out the RGB RAM to standard, so hopefully will solve the cooler issue....

Also, will be looking to pair this with my LG 27GN850-B Nano monitor

I would change it up a little, better motherboard, more useful storage etc but looks very much in line with what we would recommend.

With the monitor you have the 3070Ti is actually a considerable over-spend. The 3060Ti would be far more suited to it. It's not available right now but if you do order with the 3070 it would be worth checking every day or so to see if you can swap out for the 3060Ti to pocket the savings.

Yes, funny enough have just literally run across the monitor advice... so will look to scale down. Yes will keep an eye out as suggested. Not in that much of a hurry, which looks like a good thing based on 3060ti ETA of 10/10
