I think very few people get criticised for the choice of spec. It's more about squeezing out more value for your £ :)

For instance, if you wanted, you could adjust your SSD choice and get a more powerful graphics card for the same money.

If it's just for gaming, there's no need to have multiple SSDs in the way there can be for video editing or photo editing if you put project files, scratch, cache etc on different drives.

Games aren't very sensitive to SSD speed either. Any SSD is just about as good as another. it makes no difference to framerate, and only a second or two at most to loading times.

Also, with a laptop, you can add more storage yourself pretty easily. The graphics card you can't change. So there is always an argument for buying the best possible graphics card you can reasonably afford, and upgrading /adding to the storage later if required.

I'd also usually recommend fast, dual channel RAM (RAM that is 2 x 8 GB so it has more bandwidth than 1 x 16gb)

For instance:

Or with a 2TB 660p SSD, if you have a lot of games you want installed at the same time. That takes the price to £1586 which is not too far off your existing quote.

Gsync helps reduce stutter and eliminate 'tearing' though synchronising your screen's refresh rate to your graphic's card's framerate. It's great. Though it does cost a bit more.

Anyway, you have options :)

my husband has already "throttled" my spending once i doubt he will let me add more money to it.. If i had a two TB i would only partition it which i am nervous to do as if one part goes you lose everything.. even though i back up.. at the moment anything is better than the 1050ti that i have tbh!

I've taken the liberty of moving your post to this topic so that the advice is concentrated in the same place and doesn't get confused with the other poster's topic :)

Your laptop doesn't have 2 HDDs and 1 SSD. It has 3 SSDs.
1st Storage Drive 240GB ADATA SU630 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb (520MB/R, 450MB/W)
1st M.2 SSD Drive 1TB INTEL® 760p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (upto 3230MB/sR | 1625MB/sW)
2nd M.2 SSD Drive 1TB INTEL® 760p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (upto 3230MB/sR | 1625MB/sW)
These are all SDDs :)

I'd recommend what I recommend above i.e. switch the drives to a single SSD. The 660p is an economical option. This saves you cash, which you can invest into a better graphics card if you wish. There's no benefit in performance to multiple SSDs for your uses.

Having multiple SSDs doesn't protect your data. What you need is to back the data up.

I put your spec into the configurator and it was £1576.

Changing the spec to an RTX 2070 and a 2TB 660p makes it £1586. So that is more expensive, but only by £12. What you get is a graphics card that is more powerful and will extend the useful life of the laptop.

Changing it to an RTX 2070, a 1TB SSD, and a 1TB HDD (e.g. photos and dodcuments on the HDD, Windows + favourite games on the SSD) would take the price down to £1530, saving you money, while giving a faster graphics card.

Changing the order won't slow production.
