Gaming/working laptop

hello everyone, I'm wanting to upgrade my PC, but i also need a laptop as i'm going to uni soon (only need Microsoft word and things like that). So i've decided to go for a laptop, but one that has specs good enough to run the newest games out on high/ultra graphics. My budget is around £1300, i have configured this so far (Any improvements/ideas are very welcome!!!):

I'd avoid the QVO SSD as they're not as good as their EVO counterparts. if you want a 1TB HDD without paying too much for it the SX6000 SSD under the M.2 SSD menu is a solid option.

Consider the Recoil chassis as it is lighter than the Optimus. Also a high refresh rate screen.

Or the Vortex, which is ~£100 more but has gsync and a144hz screen

Does your university supply Windows licences? Some do e.g. http://www.sussex.ac.uk/its/services/software/windows10education
That would claw back almost £100 to funnel into the hardware e.g. via the Vortex, or just pocket the difference.

You should check if you can get your Windows license through your uni. This would save you some cash and you could go for the below spec which is much better value.

thank you very much. luckily my dad is a teacher and his school gives the licences for free to him.
