Advice and thoughts please, will be using for games such as wow and diablo 3, and maybe some newer titles.

What are the screens like on these?

Seen some nice hp omen laptops and msi deals too. So many choices brands I'm kinda stuck what to go for. Budget is £1300 max.

Seems decent. I'd probably advise against the Kingston M.2 SSD. The PM961 is a lot faster, while the G2 will be slower than many Sata SSDs.

You could take a look at the Defiance III chassis which has a gsync screen.

I like the look of the Proteus chassis but after reading around the forum it seems the Defiance III is the better quality one.

I super keen to get a laptop ordered, but seriously lacking advise from friends. The HP omen 17 w201 I've seen looks really nice, but reviews say it noisy and hot.

If you fancy customising one for me that would be great

At the risk of not giving you a straight answer:

The 15.6" Defiance III is a fair bit cheaper than the 17.3" one.

Note that WoW can benefit a good deal from RAM frequency, so the 2400MHz stuff is worth considering.

With the 17.3" one, this would be an equivalent spec.

However, if you fancied stretching further you could drop the CPU to a 6700HQ, up the GPU to a GTX 1070, and the price would only go up £81.

Perhaps more relevant for demanding AAA titles that Diablo (though WoW with a good dose of AA could make use of that GPU horsepower) but worth considering.
