Hi,

I have a Fusion IV and ever since I got it, it runs slow and the fans run crazy with Windows 10 & 11. The laptop gets hot, but there is no excess dust. Does anyone else have this problem?

I run Ubuntu mainly so it's not a huge problem and runs exceptionally without any of the above issues. I have licence and would like to use Windows for a few programs.

Thank you,

The fans and power limits are controlled by the management driver (Control Center) which can only work if windows is correctly configured before it's installed.

You say it runs hot, have you serviced it since you've had it? It will need repasting every so often to maintain optimal temps and prevent thermal throttling.

Okay, thanks.
It was repasted around a year ago. Will so that again. It's strange though the fans hardly ever even run with ubuntu.

When you say correctly configured before it's installed, what would I be looking for?

Not sure what you mean? Before you can install the management driver, you need to be sure the driver layer in a new windows install is correctly configured, otherwise the management driver can’t work properly. The management driver on these chassis is called control center and will be in your downloads on your account.

Thank you SpyderTracks!

That worked. I didn't see anything under Windows 11 in the downloads section, it was under Windows 10. That's probably why I didn't see it.
I'm working out what the other drivers mean exactly and if they are needed.

Thank you once again

You don’t install any other drivers from your PCS account as they’ll be out of date. Windows update accounts for drivers. If any are missing in device manager after you’ve applied all windows updates, you get those direct from the manufacturer of that component.
