Coolmaster 912 ADVANCE

Hi guys :)
I want to buy my PC soon and am hoping you'll refresh your Coolmaster range - well the 912 anyway.
It now comes with USB 3 connections at the front, which I need for my External WD drive (very short cable means I have to sit it on top of my computer). I was going to opt for another Coolmaster case (HAF XM) but got a warning saying I couldn't have an internal card reader with it.

Cheers

You could buy the case from a third party retailer and send it to PCS.

you could always get an external usb card reader... you could even plug the usb 3.0 drive into the rear usb 3.0 slots on your motherboard if the front panel connections where not available.

Yeah, maybe just plug the external drive into the back USB3 port. But, the drive would have to sit on the large air vent - this wouldn't cause a major problem with air flow would it, or affect the external drive?

Couldn't you just stand the drive on its side next to the PC case to save covering any vents?

No, the usb cable on the WD My Password drive is way too short - think this external drive is meant for a laptop. At the moment, it's sat on top of my HAF 922, but the front end next to the power button, having the use the front USB2 port on the HAF. I guess it's not the end of the world, but I'll kick myself if I order a PC and then go and update their Coolmaster range :)
Thanks for helping

Damn. hit upon another problem now. I can't have an internal card reader with any of the cases I choose, no doubt because PC Specialist only use one size :(

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're using a desktop there's no reason you couldn't fit a card reader in it, in one of the 5.25" bays.

I wouldn't want to try to fit a card reader, that's why I buy my PC's pre build, I'm just not techy minded at all :) Maybe PC Specialist only use the other size of card reader ie floppy drive size (3.5"?) which is why I get an incompatable warning when I choose a case (Fractal Design Arc Midi, Coolmaster HAF XM)

Just had a quick play around again - NONE of the cases support an internal card reader, doesn't matter what I choose... I get the warning which prevents me from purchasing. I give up, will look elsewhere :)

The lower end cases allow for the card reader as we only stock 3.5" Card Readers.
