The OP has at least 2 other threads in this forum. That makes it very difficult to work out what has been recommended and what is the most recent advice.
To be honest I keep changing my mind and now worried I may be messing up?

Hi - I am not very computer savvy so I updated things to hopefully run cooler and fit better in the case - I still thought this was a great gaming system (my no.1 priority) am I wrong? What should I change?
What is your current build? A H80 will not cool a 3900X, especially in that case

Why the change to the last gen AMD? 5800x is ideal for you. You have a massive budget tbh and following the advice of any of the builds from the seasoned posters here you wont go wrong.
Unless you want 4k gaming (which is sometimes challenging even on a 3080) the base it around a 5800x and 3070 imo.

I wouldn't put a 3070 anywhere near that case if it was me....a high powered GPU needs a decent amount of airflow to cool it. There's better cases with a max width of 22cm

Not entirely sure why the storage drive needs to be an SSD? Especially given the price difference.

To be honest, the perfect spec for your needs was posted back on page 1 (just needed the 3080 substituting for the 3070 and a slimmer case)
Hi Please could you suggest a suitable case? Thanks

Hi - Please could anyone suggest the best case for best cooling and lowest sound - the size will not matter as I intend to get another computer desk. Many thanks

This is the build junior spec'd up for you, and youve then dropped down cpu and played silly beggars with it.... his build is still far better than what you are now proposing and probably cheaper, you're cutting off config links and price tags with the specs you are posting.

I would strongly recommend you stick to juniors build, and enchance from there if the budget allows, not go backwards with teh builds you are coming up with. Its a decent gaming build with extra juice to comfortably deal with video and photo editing on top and does it at a fair price. Youve then done stuff with storage etc which seems a bit pointless and gimped the cpu in the process.

Agreed your build dosent make sense we arnt ganging up on you or trying to belittle you but these guys have specced you some great suggestions and you seem to be either looking at youtube videos or other sites that are confusing you and making you indecisive I would personally buy any of the builds suggested in this thread as they all serve your purpose the 5800x is a beast of a cpu and will be more then enough for your needs

Drop the arctic thermal paste, corsair coolers come with their own paste preapplied, its equal if not better quality so you are just wasting £9
The M.2...if you plan on having a separate OS drive and games on another drive, 1TB is overkill, a 250GB is enough for just OS (easily) and I would say 500GB is a suitable OS & main programs size.
Games would then go on a separate M.2 or regular SSD... if I remember you have a healthy budget, so a second M.2 isnt an issue with the Rog Strix 570X board (that would then be a 1TB Firecuda or something like that...).
You need to tell us a little more about what it is you are intending to do/what you want from the drive setup.
Is there a reason for Firewire? Do you actually use anything that would use it?

Can you go back to that specs to forum page and post the entire thing, with the config link thats right at the bottom. It makes this so much easier...

If the M.2 drive is only for windows (and as you've got other drives, I asume it is) it doesn't need to be 1TB, it's just a waste of money, you can make it a 250GB or a 500GB at the most.
I'd make your 1st storage drive SSD an M.2 SSD for way faster speeds (you can access this by Pressing Show additional storage options)
The cooler won't need that thermal paste, the corsair stuff is good enough.
We've added firewire which we didn't have before?

Are you sure you need windows professional?
Should explain...theres very little difference between home and prof for win 10, its not like the old days when half the features were locked out in the home version
