You're putting quite a few parts in there that are going to get warm quick in such a small case.
Are things like the bluray drive and SD card reader important, also something that will need thinking of as not all cases will allow for them.

With your budget, you could build a system thats more than capable, but theres a few things i'd change on the spec you listed.
Im right in assuming the main focus is the gaming and the video/photo editing is more hobby level rather than professional?
May I ask the reason why such limits on case width? are you slotting this into a enclosed space? Thats going to complicate things a little to if so.

Hi again
Yes the space is limited to fitting on my existing trolley but if it was important to have a different case I would consider looking around for another one. Your assumptions on use are correct.

How enclosed is this trolley?
My concern would be a compact case/poor airflow then fitted inside another box limiting airflow even more.

What about the bluray/SD reader? Are these just because budget allows or do you want/need them?

Also, any height/depth limits?
If its a fixed space, having the dimensions of it will help

The right side is open and the left side has a short panel so I think air flow around is ok?
I have a bluray and sd reader now but could manage with external ones if necessary.
No height or depth limits.

This is the build I'd go with.

I have changed away from the Corsair case as it hasn't got the best airflow and gone for a Fractal Meshify C which will be narrow enough to fit your space and give significantly better airflow than the Corsair case.
As you said photo editing is more of a hobby, I've changed down to the Ryzen 7 5800X as that will favour better for gaming and should still give ample processing power for photo editing. If you'd like to step up you could go for the Ryzen 9 5900X and the Corsair H100i AIO
The TUF X570 will a fine choice and comes with 2 Gen 4 M.2 slots for future upgradability.
I've kept the ram the same for your photo and video editing.
For the monitor you have, a 3070 will provide perfect performance, it's also got a considerably shorter wait and a few hundred £'s cheaper.
For storage, I've gone with a Gen 4 NVME SSD for Windows, a 1TB SSD for your applications and games then a 2TB HDD for general file storage as really, files don't need to be saved on SSD, although if you feel it's a must.
As you had a CD drive I've replaced it with an external one to give a lot more case options. If you must have an in-built DVD drive, I'd recommend finding one externally and sending it to PCS that will have better airflow.
The RMx 850W will comfortably power this PC, although an RMx 1000W would be a nice upgrade.
Your higher end CPU will require a lot of cooling so I've added a Cooler Master AIO to help keep it cool.
I've added 2 extra case fans for intake to keep the PC cool
I've upgraded the WiFi card for dual band WiFi and Bluetooth.
Then added in your copy of Office 365

You're welcome! I'd wait for a 2nd opinion as there are people a lot more clever than me here and they might have more insightful knowledge. But for now, I reckon it's a sweet little rig!

Just because budget allows, I would be tempted to upgrade the AIO to a corsair anyway and the PCS M.2 to a firecuda or samsung, but this is just maxing things out rather than real gain.

I would say though, if the coolermaster cooler, upgrade the thermal paste.
In two minds over the motherboard, I have the strix 570x myself and just thinking future CPU upgrades, it wont buy you a newer generation of chip than the tuf would, but would better support a higher spec than the tuf (in the same series release). Budget allows and its not a massive overspec either for the build as it is.

Hi - updated the spec in the light of many comments received - thanks to everyone for the help.
Noticed the power need is now much higher (needs max 892w) yet when I first updated spec it said max 600w- very confused?
Any comments greatly appreciated thanks

Someone recommended this build?

what are your uses, budget and monitor?

This build says to me...
You have extremely high load work applications and place more emphasis on that, than gaming.
You have 1440p 144hz monitor.

Am i looking at the old build here? Is there a newer one, recommended on here?

because i can’t see this being recommended by someone.

The OP has at least 2 other threads in this forum. That makes it very difficult to work out what has been recommended and what is the most recent advice.

Hi - I am not very computer savvy so I updated things to hopefully run cooler and fit better in the case - I still thought this was a great gaming system (my no.1 priority) am I wrong? What should I change?
