Bluetooth problem.

I just recieved my new PC yesterday and its fantastic, looks great, runs great, everything i hoped it would be, the only problem i am having is the bluetooth, cant for the love of money get my headphones to pair with it. I have tried the updated drivers, even tried the drivers i used on my windows 10 pc, which worked but no joy, it just comes up with this message "There are unauthorized Bluetooth adapters in your system, please remove or disable the devices, and click, OK". Is it safe to remove all bluetooth drivers and use my dongle plus drivers?
My headphones are Sony WH XB910N and this is my system spec...

Best to troubleshoot the motherboard bluetooth, there's no need for an adapter.

If you fully uninstall all bluetooth devices and drivers and then reboot. Then go into optional updates and make sure any bluetooth drivers are installed.

Also are the antenna attached?

From there we cn do some troubleshooting.

Funny thing is, my son's turtle beach headphones pair just fine with its own dongle.
I the antenna important as i dont have it connected
So, completely remove ALL bluetooth entries in the device manager, reboot, while it reboots, power off and conect antenna then power back on with no dongle, right?

Without the antenna you won't have any signal.

Yep, remove all bluetooth devices in device manager. Power off, fit the antenna, then reboot and apply optional updates.

Then try repairing your sony headphones.

The other headphones are using their own dongle, so they're not using the PC bluetooth.

Nothing, no difference, weird
These are the entries for bluetooth in Device manager

1. Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
2. Generic Bluetooth Adapter
3. Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
4. Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator

Can you post a screenshot of your optional updates page? Doesn't look like the driver has been installed?

So which ones do i download?
Could you post a screenshot of the network adapters section of device manager? We need to be sure we're installing the driver for the right chipset, looks like there are multiple possibilities on that model board which is really unsual without a different model number like an additional a at the end or V1 or something

WooHoo, working now, thanks for your help and your patience, time to get on with some gaming
Thank you
No worries.

I've not really seen that before, normally if the bluetooth driver fails to install, the wifi would as well on a motherboard chip.

For the wifi to install correctly but not the bluetooth is weird. Plus for the board to have 3 separate possible wifi chipsets is weird too without revision numbers.

Damn Asus!

Glad it's working.
