Can you include the config link found at the bottom of the page where you got those spec's from.

There's some areas which are over kill and some areas which aren't enough so can balance the system up for you with that link

Whats your overall budget?

i dont really have a budget in mind, i would be happy with a very good build around £2000 if that is possible and also dont mind going either way with the budget a few 100

Main Tweaks -

Case and Cooling - Upgraded both this areas, are vital for long term performance (Plus that case and cooler make for great RGB)
GPU - 3080 is massive overkill for 1080p, even the 3060ti is a bit strong but given your budget and wanting performance it will be worth it (plus lack of Nvidia options atm)
Network card - This card will give you far better performance than previous selected.
Bullguard - Ditched, windows defender is better and free
Silver warrenty - No brainer for a fiver
Storage - Given you an M.2 drive for windows to run off. Will give you a massive performance boost in terms of speed.

With this build as well all you will need to do is upgrade the GPU in a few years time if you get a higher res monitor. Will give you 7/8 years life at least :)

thank you so much! really appreciate this help.

just a quick question would you suggest i wait for the gpu coming out next week? also is it always good practice to change the gpu over that given lifespan?

This spec will comfortably handle 1440p and a 144hz monitor. A good monitor to pair with this would be the Samsung G5 for £300. If you're looking for 1080 144hz, the 3060 is coming out in a week, that'll comfortably handle 1080 144hz and will save you even more money

this is a reply from another user on the forum, just wondering your thoughts on this build as you seem very clued up when it comes to this kind of thing :)

The 3060 would be a more suitable fit and save you a bit of money i think, but it's up to you. (plus not sure when PCS will get that card in)

As games improve over the years they become more demanding so to keep the performance level up you upgrade the GPU. One of the benefits of a custom PC is you can spec the harder to upgrade parts like the motherboard/CPU/PSU early on to what you need for the life of the PC and just upgrade the GPU when needed rather than having to spend a small fortune on a new PC or changing a lot of parts. So you save money in the long run :)

With regards to that other spec. It will do the job for you for sure, however would recommend a better case than the one selected as looking after your components is one of the most important things and depending on the level of streaming you will do be doing it might be worth considering 32Gb ram just to avoid it maxing out

Thanks for the comments, not sure how we got 2 threads! And yeah, definitely agree about the RAM considering the large budget.

I think the only change I suggested for yours was a larger SSD as OP seems to be into large file size games, I thought it would be worth it (considering warzone is an 80GB game alone)

That was what the HDD was for ;)

I prefer to have a smaller m.2 drive just for OS/Program files so you won't need to redownload them in the future if you ever have to reinstall windows.

Another option would be a second M.2 drive or SDD

But again it all comes down to personal choice on storage
