    my second computer has an AMD 4300 quad core 3.8Ghz with a Radeon R7 200 series video card and processes video a lot slower than my i5 despite being a newer machine so I am a bit wary of AMD but open to suggestions! I forgot to mention both computers have 8Gb RAM. Thanks for all your help!

    I sometimes use it for editing videos , SD or HD, not 4k, also Photoshop with fairly large pictures. Sometimes things get a bit slow while editing and saving despite having an SSD as both system and working discs but I do only have an i5 2320 3Ghz processor, so maybe that's the main problem!
