Should I wait for these next gen CPUs if I am looking to buy a new gaming machine?

I am currently in the process of buying a new PC, but I have been told about these new AMD CPUs which apparently have a 22% increase in performance, and am wondering whether I should wait for these to come out. He seems to think they will release around mid June

Just reading the article for myself, and that seems to suggest it may be around September for a release, what do you guys think, do you think this would be worth waiting for?

How long are you willing to wait?

Depending on the specific CPU, and AMD's launch/release schedule, the CPU you want may not be 4 months away, it may not release until Q1 2025.

That's a good point, thank you Tony, I didn't actually think of it like that, I thought it might be that the whole range would release around September. I'm defo not willing to wait til 2025 though, so I suppose I should just push the button on the spec we've discussed.
