Hi all,
I'm expecting my new AIO in the next few days and I'm currently getting backups of all the info and data I need from my existing HP Pavilion Desktop running Win XP(which will become defunct once I set up the new PC, running Win 7).
I'm just a little confused about what I'll need to do when I switch the AIO on for the first time and go about setting up my connection to my ISP (Plusnet).
Will I need to make a note of the POP3 settings (incoming, outgoing etc) and configure these up manually? or, as someone has told me, these will automatically be set up when I plug my Router (Netgear DG834G) into the ethernet socket? Or will I have to load the Router's CD etc and follow the instructions?
Secondly, once it is set up, with the Router connected via ehthernet etc, will my daughter's laptops need to be provided with a new WEP key, or would this stay the same as it has been with the HP Desktop?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, but they're the only bits I'm unsure of.
Thanks
