new pc,constant high cpu temps

my pc is 2 months old and is running fine as such but my friend noticed the cpu is constantly at 65-70 degrees even idle and after googling most say it should be sitting around 30-40,i will say im a computer novice so im not sure if this could cause long term problems?it doesnt seem to go a lot higher playing games,ive noticed it at about 70-75 when i check after playing a game.

Often when people think the system is idle, it's actually running quite high demand background tasks.

Downloading things for instance can have very high CPU useage as it actually decrypts and extracts files while it's downloading.

The only way to be certain of loads is to run a full 100% load for about 10 minutes with Prime95, have HWMonitor open from just before you start the test and then take a screenshot of the CPU readings at the end of the test WHILE the stress is still running
