as you can see my price is under your budget.. and would well run the game.. but i got an average Graphics card (you should get better) and i got a 32" HD monitor so without that you save £250..

So maybe upgrade to Intel and Nvidea and your sorted :)

Slightly over the cost of Steve's and mine does not include a monitor. I play a lot of top end games (crysis etc) and this setup should handle any game for several years and then after that might need to tone the odd graphics setting down. Heres my ordered setup:

you try FF11? Was it as grind-fest as I heard it was? Is 14 the same? I did look at the website earlier today, looks very shiney indeed but I dont have the patience for grind-fest :p

it sounds like alot of the grind has been taken away tho like steve said its a jrpg so there will be some but they have hopefully learned from 11. there doing alot of stuff for the casual gamer this time around and have a few more solo options available....but regardless it just looks awesome ha

Alot of people are raving about FF, I can honestly say I have never played any of the games;

a) are they actually THAT good?
b) are they a long story or can I join in @ FF14 ?

They are all different stories except FF X and X-2 (which we will pretend never had its sequel). The thing with FF14 (and FF11) is that its an MMO of the game so isn't the same as the rest of the series... But on the whole, yes they are that good :D

Due to my gaming platform of choice though, I havnt played a FF beyond FFX

a) YES THEY ARE
b) As Sweeney says they are all differant, but have similar stories/characters (as thats what works) FF11 and FF14 are MMO and are typical of the JRPG (well cant really say for FF14 but what i have seen so far..) But either way should try them out if you like the genre

I think I'll have a dabble when I get some spare time, which is supposedly the best one?
