Used you guys back in 2021 so I’m here again for your advice.

I’m after feedback for my potential new 4K gaming computer.

Feedback would be appreciated. It’ll be 90% used for 4K gaming - ideally at individual games’ max settings for upcoming. STALKER etc. 10% for internet browsing etc.

Budget: max 3,500 but ideally less.
TV: 4K LG OLED C3 I think it’s called.
Use: Gaming, potentially VR gaming potentially, mainly gaming in 4k.

A you'll see in my signature i have a similar set up, albeit with a lesser GPU and slower ram, and co-incidentally i am running it through an LG OLED C3. I'll leave it to the technical experts to tell you about the pros and cons of individual components but i can confirm that in most games i'm achieving 100-120fps 4k at max settings, slightly tweaked to taste. Given that you're sticking a 4090 in the mix, you should be golden.

I don't think you need the 4090 for 4K, and you could significantly reduce the cost by going to the 4080 Super...and keep the extra £500 for a GPU upgrade when you do need it in 2-3 years.

I'd be going along similar lines to what you already have, but tweak it a little...

Case
CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE - big brother of the 4000D with more room for upgrades/bling
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.0GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5) - as per original spec
Motherboard
ASUS® ROG STRIX X670E-A GAMING WIFI (AM5, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 6E) - as per original spec
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair DOMINATOR TITANIUM DDR5 6400MHz (2 x 16GB) KIT - as per original spec
Graphics Card
16GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER - HDMI, DP, LHR - plenty for 4K and £500 cheaper than the 4090 (although I still think the PCS-supplied version of the 4080 Super is over £200 more than than the Founder's Edition when it was released a couple of months ago - so you could order an FE version direct and save that extra £200...if you like the FE aesthetic...or spend £50 more the the Asus ProArt-branded version)
Graphics Card Support Bracket
NONE (BRACKET INCLUDED AS STANDARD ON 4070 Ti / RX 7700 XT AND ABOVE)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) - very fast, smaller m.2 for Windows/Apps only, to promote good housekeeping, and avoid losing all your game installs if you need to rebuild it
2nd M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 4125MB/sR, 3325MB/sW) - fast secondary m.2 for game installs
Power Supply
CORSAIR 1200W RMx SHIFT SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - about the level needed for a 4080 Super or higher, and specifically designed to the new ATX3/PCIe5 specs (manages transient spikes better, and can carry more power through the cables, so less cables overall)
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
CORSAIR ICUE LINK H115i RGB HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER - as per original spec
