Would be nice to see this as an option. Comes with a 240mm AIO cooler, PCIe Gen 4 riser cable and an 850W PSU.The non Max version also comes in lots of different colours.
A GSYNC option? That implies it's been put into discrete mode which, as far as I'm aware, doesn't exist for the recoil chassis. Mind PMing me this particular place?
Drumk's choice is pretty good if you're going to keep it in your accommodation and barely move it around but if you want something that can still function like a laptop, I'd go with this one below:
Chassis & Display
Recoil Series: 17.3" Matte Full HD 144Hz 72% NTSC LED Widescreen (1920x1080)...
I know there is a version of the chassis that is 17" but it is strange that PCS don't sell it. Also, what do you mean there's more customisable options for the Recoil chassis elsewhere?
I'm actually currently stuck between the Vortex and the Recoil III. Dunno if I should go for a smaller screen...
Hi! Little disclaimer before I continue. While I want to compare the Vortex IX, I wouldn't be buying it from PCS as I want the per key RGB keyboard with it which another reseller has. It's the exact same chassis, just with a per key RGB keyboard.
So, I'm currently deciding between these two...
Eh, I know all about the flashing the bios will void the warrently. I don't mind the risk :)
Sadly though, they're now locking their bioses and that ElukBoost feature is only possible due to a hardware mod they requested from TongFang so no full 2070 for me in a 15" chassis :(
As for cooling...

Eluktronics, a reseller in the US, managed to place the guts of a TongFang GK7 (17") into a GK5 (15"). The full, non MaxQ RTX 2070 in the 15 inch chassis while having a slight increase to temps. Sounds...
Ive yet to see any existing 1440p 120 / 144hz screens for 15.6" laptops so I cant really comment on it. Although, I do know 17.3" 1440p 120hz screens exist.
Id go with what mustaf posted BUT if you want something a bit smaller, change the chassis to a 16.1 Defiance. It'll be smaller, lighter and just as / slightly more powerful :)
The last picture is for mounting a 2.5inch drive since you didnt order one. IMO you shouldnt install one and instead buy the bigger battery upgrade (upgrades from the low 40whr to a 64whr battery :D )

Okay, so how is the Proteus so much more cheaper than the other laptops with RTX 2070? If I want 16GB 2666Mhz RAM, no OS and just the 128GB SSD, the Defiance V costs £101 more and the Recoil II 17 costs £239 more. So I'm kinda scratching my head about why it's so much more cheaper. I mean, even...
Hi! Going to be ordering this laptop (hopefully) in 2 weeks so just getting a bit of info before I bite the bullet :)
So I plan to chuck out the HDD bay and small 46WHr battery and replace it with the 64WHr one and use the storage in my current laptop to power this one. Only problem is that...
So Im looking at the recoill series of laptops and am having trouble deciding between the 15 and 17 inch models. Or to be more specific, the RTX 2070 full vs MaxQ. If I could guarantee that I could OC the MaxQ to full stats then that would make me lean more towards the 15. But, I've heard that...
I was kinda hoping for a laptop like the 17.3" Defiance V that has the option of that 1440p 120hz screen but with the horsepower of an RTX card. Seems kinda of a waste to have all this power in a laptop and be stuck to either 1080p or not able to push 60fps at 4k. Was wondering if we'll get an...
