PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC with RTX 3080 is too noisy when playing Elden Ring

I moved the fan curve to hit 100% at 85C and it's much quieter. Yes I could physically move the PC, but not sure how rubbish that will look. I will give it a try though. > It gets steeper above 80C, but shouldn't ever get to that point, and hasn't to date. Give Elden Ring a go - that will...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC with RTX 3080 is too noisy when playing Elden Ring

OK, thanks I'll try that. So what's the maximum temperature I should allow the GPU to reach before pulling the plug?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC with RTX 3080 is too noisy when playing Elden Ring

All three fan settings (L&R, Mid and Ex) are all set like this to hit 100% at 65C. When monitoring Elden Ring in the open world, with the settings on Maximum except for FSAA & Motion Blur turned off, I am seeing about 65C with the fans at 2900RPM. Oh and here is the PC and desk:v

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RTX 3080

It was 15 working days before the build started on Monday and it took longer than expected in testing due to problems. And yes, I went for a standard 3080 10Gb.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RTX 3080

Yes it's been "dispatched", however it's not been picked-up by DPD yet, but is set to deliver tomorrow before 2PM. There was a pretty quick reaction to me adding the Saturday delivery sub-order.

I paid to upgrade from Mon-Fri to Sat before 2PM and it was accepted, so it's probably gonna work.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RTX 3080

Mine hit a problem in testing so has taken a few extra days to hit Await Dispatch. I asked what the problem was and they just told me it was crashing. I think this is better service than most PC builders who wouldn't bother soak-testing the rig before dispatching it. Just hoping I can upgrade...

Where do you get the queue order from? I ordered a Ryzen 5900X with RTX 3080 on 25-Jan and cannot find my queue position anywhere.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Any suggestions on this build?

Ah Houdini... fantastic piece of software! Are you a technical artist? Game dev? Anyway I am no PC building expert but you don't need a 1000W power supply with that GPU, so you might shave a bit off by lowering that to 650w or some such. Also I am going Ryzen 5900x which might be better...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Very unhappy with the Service

I ordered my PC on the 29th of October and it took two weeks before it was built. It went into Awaiting Dispatch early Friday morning and it's still in Awaiting Dispatch. What is going on with this company? I understand it takes time to build and there can be stock shortages, but what...
