Yea 16GB will be plenty, you may want to consider upgrading to the 2x8GB 2666Mhz ram, two ram sticks will allow the memory to operate in dual channel mode that gives you a significant speed bump and is well worth the cost.
Gaming specifically high performance factorio megabase building. (memory speed is important for factorio optimisation)
General every day use, web, netflix etc..
A competitor is selling gaming laptops with 2933mhz ram, so I am looking into that.
PCS have been good on the whole but my last laptop has been problematic.
There doesnt seem to be an option for 2933Mhz memory on laptops with the intel 10750h & 10875h cpus.
Is this an error, or is there an issue with the mboards in these laptops.
PC specialist guarnteed that if I bought another DIMM from them it would be a matched pair for the one I already had installed. So I did and installed it today. CPUID CPU-Z confirms it is running in dual channel mode and I am getting noticeably better performance.
Thanks for your help guys.
by "matched pair" would it be sufficient for me to buy another "8GB Corsair VENGEANCE 2400MHz SODIMM DDR4" module? Or do they need to be someway factory matched (if so what are they being matched on)
