| The length of time a laptop battery will operate varies from laptop to laptop based on the applications being used (i.e. high end graphics, gaming), the number of times something is saved or retrieved from the hard drive, how often the CD/DVD drive is used, and the amount of memory in the notebook. The realistic average run-time is 1.5 to 3 hours, but the more you use the notebook, and the more devices you order when configuring the notebook, the lower the battery life will be. Using devices like a wireless adapter will also reduce the battery life.
Should I order extra batteries? If your laptop is generally used in or around the home or office, ordering extra batteries is not a priority. However, if you often take your notebook away, for example on business trips, school trips, on holiday, camping, etc., then a spare battery will allow you to continue using your laptop after a quick exchange of batteries. Do you stock spare batteries? We hold stock of replacement components such as keyboard, batteries, screens and power adapters for all current notebook models and where possible we will hold stock for several years after the model has been discontinued.
