Upgrading my average laptop to something much better. Is this good for music production?

The spec looks sound (no pun intended...). My main suggestions would be to amend the SSDs.

I'm assuming you are keeping OS, software, and project files on the M.2 SSD and sample libraries on the 2.5" / Sata SSD (the Barracuda). if you're only storing general user files on the Barracuda SSD (videos to watch, music just to listen to, that sort of thing) then maybe swap to a cheaper HDD.

Assuming it is a pair of SSDs you need:

The WD Black is faster and the same price as the Intel. The 970 Evo Plus is also faster and a little more cash. Either would be better than the 760p.

For the 2.5" SSD (the Barracuda one), switch it to the WD Blue. It's a bit faster, while being cheaper :)
