Memory (RAM)
16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2400MHz (1 x 16GB)
Major alarm bells there.

For Zen CPUs (well, any CPUs tbh, but especially Zen CPUs) dual channel RAM (2x8gb) and the fastest RAM available, here 3200MHz.

Also major alarm bells on the case. The case isn't just cosmetic, but matters for airflow i.e. cooling components (affecting lifespan and performance), not to mention upgrade options.

Graphics Card
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready!
Get the 2060 Super. It's pretty much a 2070 in performance and £100 cheaper.

Small and slow SSD (you're fitting some HDDs from an existing build maybe?)

Ideally a TXm PSU - better quality and more efficient

You don't really need the CM212x Cooler.

You can buy the Gaming X motherboard if you like. It doesn't actually have USB 3.2 Gen 2 unlike PCS's advertising however (at least the Gigabyte website says it doesn't!). You could frankly save £40 and go for the X470 mobo.

Thanks for this Oussebon.

Why would I not have a 1st storage drive?

This is a completely new computer and I don't have other hard drives to transfer into this one once I get. I'm a novice.

1st Storage Drive??
NOT REQUIRED
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB ADATA SX6000 Pro PCIe M.2 2280 (2100 MB/R, 1500 MB/W)

Shall I just select this: 512GB ADATA SX6000 Pro PCIe M.2 2280 (2100 MB/R, 1500 MB/W) in the 1st storage drive??

No, get the 512gb SX6000 in the "1st M.2 SSD Drive" slot :)

The "1st Storage Drive" thing is a leftover from when all storage devices were sata storage. Because of how tech has moved on it's actually very common for the primary storage device in a PC to be an M.2 SSD.

Sata HDDs and SSDs look a bit like:

While M.2 SSDs look like:

You can see why it's become popular - in addition to allowing for smaller, lighter drives, it doesn't need a data cable and a power cable, it just gets plugged into the motherboard. M.2 PCIe/NVMe drives also allow for very fast speeds, much faster than the Sata drives you find in the "Storage Drive" menus :)

But they're all forms of storage, even if they don't live under the "storage" menu.

OK I've already ordered the previous spec...how can I change?? Would I need to re-order? I also bought on finance??

Is an m.2 SSD faster than an SSD?
It depends on the SSD.

But yes, an M.2 SSD like the SX6000 will be faster than Sata SSDs.

I'm not 100% sure how it works with finance. But as it's made from the same "configurator" you may be able to just amend the order without needing to cancel. Certainly for non-finance orders you can make changes like the above without cancelling.
