Rude customer service

Received my PC and I’m happy with the overall quality, build was speedy so I can’t fault them there but I’m taken aback by how rude the technical support team was. Over the weekend I finally got round to gaming on my pc but had an issue with my headset only playing sound on one ear. I tried a different headset, same issue. I then tried plugging them into my playstation to look double check the both worked, which they did.
After concluding it must’ve been a PC issue I called up PCspecialist technical support to see if they could help me with the issue. After having to wait 10 minutes in a queue I explained to them that when I plugged my headset only played sound through one ear, the guy told me that he thinks I should contact the headset makers as it seemed like the sound was working fine and when I disagreed and told them the headsets worked fine on other devices he immediately hung up, offering me no help to resolve my issue.
Thankfully, after getting in touch with Microsoft support they eventually helped me resolve the issue on live chat by having me plug the headset into the back of the PC rather than the front. Still this doesn’t excuse how poorly PCSpecialist staff handled the situation, in all honesty I’m just incredibly disappointed as I’d had a great experience up until that point.

Playing devil's advocate how do you know the call wasn't just disconnected by mistake or technical fault? Did you call back?

Its not great if that is the case, there's potentially a follow up issue with your front I/O too - have you got another set of headphones/similar you can plug into the front audio jack (I assume this is what you were using as I don't think the issue can occur like that with a USB) to try? If you get the same issue with a second pair of headphones I'd suggest something is amiss with the internal wiring of the PC (likely a plug is loose between the front I/O and the motherboard...) - if its bothering you, you could always have a look and see if you can reconnect the wire.

If you would like to make a complaint about this though you will need to do so directly to PCS and I'd advise doing it in writing (via email). While PCS staff do occasionally visit the forums its not necessarily all that often.

I am very sorry to see the issue you had with our Customer Care team. Would you be able to PM me your order number and I will speak to the Customer Care management to review the call and speak to the staff member but as steaky360 states, this is not an official line of support so any official complaints would need to be made directly to our email.
