PC won't start

I have had my PC from PC Specialist for about 8 months and all has been well up until today. I went to start my PC up like any other day however it would not start, I only get 2-3 seconds of fan activity and power icon but nothing else, no display on monitor, nno lighting on motherboard, and then it goes off for a few seconds and tries again no effect. I'm not tech savvy at all if i'm honest and have no idea what has gone wrong or how to fix it.

I'd suggest phoning pcs directly for some support (their lines are open to 8 on weekdays iirc). If there is a hardware fault, the parts will still be under warranty.

I agree with Oussebon, but in the meantime try taking the battery out and unplugging the mains adapter. Now hold the ON button down for 60 seconds. Nothing exciting will happen though. Now leave the battery out and plug in the mains power adapter. Will it boot now? If it does then shutdown, plug in the battery and leave it on charge and unused for 24 hours. Then unplug the mains adapter and see whether it boots on battery alone.
