New AIO PC for my wife - questions

Unfortunately, the 6 year old AIO packed in the other week. It's the 23.6" Maestro with an i7 quad core processor. It was my old PC before I gave it to my wife. After discussing options with PCS and realising that I'd need to spend money up front (as it's out of warranty) to send it back plus the fact that any new parts would cost and there's a possibility it may not be even fixable etc, I'm contemplating having a new one built.

Now, she only uses the AIO for internet browsing, email and document editing etc. (so no gaming, no photography apps etc).

Please can someone advise as to what might be the minimum spec and lowest cost option in the AIO range (or indeed any other) in order for her to be able to carry on with her tasks outlined above.

Many thanks!

What's the budget to work to
That's the problem . . . I need a spec that will allow her to do the basics of internet (browsing, downloading), email, document editing via our wifi router (min 44 Mbsec) and so I was hoping to get something for around £500-£600 max.

You won't get an AIO at that budget, AIO's are premium cost, far more expensive than a normal desktop. Remember, you're factoring in a screen also, plus they're not as upgradeable so have a limited shelf life.

I would suggest, if it's doable from your side, perhaps a mini pc with a monitor?

Is there any maximum size you want to keep to for the monitor?

As an example of an AIO, bear in mind this is using older generation parts and I've only selected this low processor as the I5s are currently out of stock, but I personally wouldn't recommend anything under an i5. This is on the understanding you can move your existing windows license across to this new build

As an example of a mini pc including a decent 1080p 60Hz monitor, but bear in mind this is SIGNIFICANTLY more performant and will remain relevant a LOT longer lifespan. It would need an additional USB Wifi dongle which you could pick up elsewhere for maybe £10 -15, I can give you a link for somewhere like Amazon if this fits your use case:
