I have researched for half year what laptop to get and what is wise to invest in and what do I want.. and at first I was between Lenovo Yoga i7 and Asus ZenBook... Zenbook quickly fell out of grace for various reasons and I have obsessed over Yoga 7i but I could not find one with 16GB RAM and I read some horror stories about brand new laptops not working from the first week and poor customer service, basically people being without their laptops for weeks! I wanted my latptop to be fast, powerful, to last me a few good years and with PC Specialist and the extended warranty and dead pixel warranty, I know I can depend on customer service in case anything goes wrong! At the rate the technology is advancing, who knows what's going to be on the market even next year, but I intend to keep my laptop for 3-5 years at least. I bought my son's gaming rig from PC Specialist - very pleased with that, I would never consider anyone else for PCs but I wasn't sure what to do about my laptop.
I then decided that's it, I will go with PCS but what size, model, components?! It was between Ionico and Elimina and I went for Ionico based on the sleek, graceful design, SO very thin, better battery power and higher screen resolution. Oh gosh, I went to town with everything I could for what I could afford. See my set up below. Almost 3 weeks after receiving my laptop and I LOVE IT!!!!! It's light, slim, FAST, uber fast (on opening, on commands, no lag on the internet). No fingerprints on it, I kept the protective plastic on the finger pad for now (a bit like an old lady with a plastic on the sofa LOL). I use it to edit videos, browse the internet, social media, watch Netflix, write. I usually have about 50 tabs open and it works like a dream. I have it mainly on charge so not sure what the battery is like yet. I am not sure if I should've gone for the 15.6", I had a photoshoot for my new wesbite and it looked huge! Probably 15.6 would've been easier to carry around? But given that is so very light, I don't find this a problem. Oh, oh, and is VERY silent!!! It doesn't get too hot, you can hardly hear the fans! Worth every penny of the £1699 Happy, happy customer!!!
