First off, make sure the cable is sitting in place and the charging lights is on, when you plug the cable in. It could be an issue with the battery and if it is fully depleted it might make sense to wait a while (say overnight) and see if the laptops at least turn on come morning. If it does, wait till your OS has booted up and you can see the battery symbol in the task bar. Unplug the charger and see if the percentage charge changes and if your laptop shuts itself down. Sometimes it drops from 100% to 30% and then shuts itself off.

If it does it might be a battery that is not holding a charge and it would be reasonable to try out a new battery. Which means you should ring us.
Also, another basic worth trying is to check the fuse of the power lead you’re using, too.
