Bios for a 2016 laptop Vortex Clevo P870DM(G)

Hey guys,
Can someone kindly share a backup copy of the Clevo P870DM(G) Bios with me? It was a laptop built on 11-02-2016 and worked quite well until not long ago when, unfortunately, while updating some software, I installed an unnecessary bios update from Clevo. I did not realise their Bios were different from the ones used by PCSpecialist, because of the same maker and model on the board; my Bios backup also failed for some reason. The laptop still works, but I have some compatibility issues with the integrated keyboard, touchpad and sata3. Secondarily, the laptop doesn't recognise some of my USB devices, and the card reader crashes.

I understand available new Bios, but I prefer having the laptop working again in all its features with an available backup rather than carrying on with unnecessary updates. First, I wanted to update my system, but probably there are not much better CPU and MXM GPU compatible with my system, so my priority changed. I am considering getting a new one anyway, but I wish to keep the old one in good working order, or at least if I did get a copy of the correct Bios.

I appreciate your attention and quick replies.

There is a good lesson here that the BIOS is not just another bit of software. The BIOS firmware is VERY hardware dependent on laptops, so using any BIOS that doesn't come from PCS is extremely unwise.

In addition, the BIOS does not need to be kept updated. I'll say that again, the BIOS does not need to be kept updated. It's not like other software, it's really hardware.

ONLY update the BIOS if you have a specific problem AND if PCS have advised you that a BIOS update is needed.

Yes, I lacked prudence this time. Let's hope they let me download the correct Bios, so I can fix it.

None of us work for PCS, it's just a phonecall, you may on hold for 10 minutes or something, shouldn't take long.
Thanks again for the tips. Well, it did not take long. You're right. It fixed my BIOS a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately, the laptop problems were more complicated than I first assumed. The Clevo update folder had embedded controllers' firmware updates, the ECflash (eCP87DM.05) and EC2flash (2ndEP872.02). They are not coherent with the current BIOS, so needing to flash them too.

The system works better than before, but they all need to be coherent versions altogether. So here I am again, waiting to get those EC's updates from PCSpecialist.

I suspect I will need to update the Nvidia cards' firmware to take advantage of their SLI synergy, but let's try this first because I may not need it.
